APT Selected by SunTrust
to Implement Test & Learn Solution

"Test & Learn" software application to be used to evaluate a breadth of retail initiatives

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Applied Predictive Technologies (APT) has been selected by SunTrust Banks, Inc., one of the nation's largest retail banks, to implement a Test & Learn solution.

The Test & Learn Suite is currently being licensed by a number of other industry notables including Wells Fargo, Wachovia, TD Commerce, and PNC. With leading-edge technology and smart design, the Test & Learn platform provides a set of solutions that help financial services organizations institutionalize a rigorous process of retail branch testing, allowing them to improve the effectiveness of their investments in capital expenditures, marketing, operations, merchandising and site selection. SunTrust is the latest on the growing list of financial services clients who are realizing the benefits of APT’s world-best testing methodology.

At SunTrust, the APT Suite will be used to optimize an array of strategic initiatives, ranging from programs focusing on operational issues such as opening hours, branch specialist deployment and employee training, to capital investments and many others. SunTrust chose APT and Test & Learn in large part due to the breadth of the issues that can be optimized via the APT Suite.

"The Test & Learn capability provides a powerful yet easy to use and understand approach for evaluating and optimizing business initiatives. We have been able to apply the APT tools to a range of initiatives at both the ATM and branch level, identifying specific improvement opportunities with substantial value," said Michael Gardner, Senior Vice President, Retail Branch Banking Sales & Services, at SunTrust.

Peter Bielan, Senior Vice President, Retail Banking Investments added, "APT provides much more than just software - they are a valuable partner in helping us improve our business and continuing to serve our clients better. We are looking forward to continuing our partnership with APT."

"We are very excited to be working with SunTrust," said Anthony Bruce, President of APT. "SunTrust has been a leader in branch and banking innovation and we are pleased to be a partner."
