Why APT?

I jumped at the chance to work at APT because I was offered a combination of opportunities that was impossible to refuse. APT allows me to use and develop my analytical skills in a way that is productive in real business situations, to work with incredibly bright and down to earth people, to be rewarded based on my performance, and to be a part of a rapidly expanding company. While interviewing with APT, I immediately felt that APT had the right combination of intelligence, experience, and enthusiasm to be a very successful organisation, and this has only become more clear over my three years here. Some of my favorite things about APT are all the benefits that come with working for a small and rapidly growing company. I love the fact that I know every employee in the company, that I get to manage relationships with our clients, and especially the amount that I’ve learned and am still learning from working directly with our co-founders and senior executives. APT is a place where each person represents a very important piece of a larger puzzle that, in the end, is so much bigger than just the sum of its parts. Everyone feels ownership of the company’s progress and is excited about the future. Moving to London this year to help start our London office has been an amazing adventure full of new responsibilities, relationships, and opportunities. I don’t know exactly where APT will take me next, but I can’t wait to find out!

Daily responsibilities:

No two days are ever alike and that’s one of the best things about the job. In broad terms, I manage client engagements to ensure everything runs smoothly. This involves facilitating data transfer, building relationships with clients, doing analysis, presenting analysis results, and ensuring that the project stays on schedule. I spend some of my time working directly with analysts at our clients helping them quantify the impact of major new initiatives that their company is thinking about rolling out. It’s fun to see what companies in different industries are testing and what the results of those trials are. I’ve analysed the impact of retail promotions, refits, new product introductions, media campaigns, pricing changes, new technologies, and labor programmes just to name a few. I also enjoy being involved to a lesser extent in product development, marketing, and recruiting.

Outside of work:

In my free time, I enjoy travelling, painting, playing sports, yoga, wine tasting, taking my dog to the park, and exploring my new home, London!
