 Why APT?

When I began the job search in the fall of my senior year, I didn't know what a Business Consultant was. Back then, I was looking for a job that would challenge me, open doors, and provide me with variety. The more I learned about APT, the more I liked the idea of working here. APT is part software company and part consulting firm, helping companies make complex business decisions with sophisticated quantitative analytics. APT offers opportunities for growth in many directions and exposure to a range of fields. Change and evolution are constant and no two workdays are ever alike.

Although I came to APT mainly because I was excited about the work that APT does and the role that I would play, one of the main reasons that I have been so happy here is the people. Since my arrival at APT, I have found my coworkers to be overwhelmingly friendly, open, intelligent, funny, diverse, and interesting people. I've made great friends at APT, and these friendships make every workday even more enjoyable.

Daily responsibilities:

I spend my days juggling multiple client engagements, automated testing, and, most recently, working to design new features for the upcoming release. I appreciate the variety; I always have something new to do. Although no two days are the same, the bulk of my time is usually focused on client delivery work. I complete analyses on key initiatives, work hand-in-hand with client users to design and evaluate tests, provide support for those who are learning how our software works, manage long-term projects worth hundreds of thousands of dollars, and work with my APT colleagues to make sure that clients are getting the most out of APT. I tap into my programming background through my involvement in development. I am responsible for writing automated tests for a section of our product, and have also been interacting with the engineering team quite frequently as an analyst for new features. It was this duality (business + technology) that first drew me to APT, and I have not been disappointed.

Outside of work:

My hobbies include traveling, learning languages, and playing the violin. Since moving to DC I've taken on being a tourist, learning to cook, and learning to play racquetball.
