Why APT?

While working on my Ph.D., I realized that, despite the intellectual challenge of scientific discovery, some of my most rewarding experiences at MIT were the result of my role as a student leader and advocate on campus. As a result, when I finally decided to leave the academic career path, I decided to look for jobs where I could continue to engage in problem solving but also interact with senior executives and influence high-stake decisions.

At APT, I have found exactly what I wanted. Bringing together an analytical approach to traditional management consulting, APT is leading a revolution in business decision-making. Our recommendations combine a data-driven, mathematically rigorous approach with deep business insights creating maximum value for our clients. As a result, executives in a wide range of industries are increasingly looking at APT for advice in key strategic decisions. In addition, APT’s small size ensures that each member of our team has a lot of ownership over both specific projects and client relationships, while having tangible and relevant impact on the direction of the firm as it continues its explosive growth.

Daily Responsibilities:

As an Engagement Manager I am the day-to-day leader of consulting projects in clients from a variety of industries and geographies. My responsibilities are broad: from leading analysis to support high-stake decisions to coordinating the efforts of consultants to developing APT’s business with prospective clients. I have worked with clients in retail, restaurants, insurance, and the public sector in the United States and Asia.

In addition, I have had the opportunity to work in many other areas of the firm to explore my various interests. I have been heavily involved in the growth of our Asia practice and have spent a lot of time in our Taipei office working on business development and supporting our Asia-Pacific engagements. I have also been a member of our restaurant marketing team and continue to support our efforts in developing improved analytics for our software products.

Outside of work:

I am an avid traveler and enjoy learning new languages and tasting new foods. As a result, if I’m not playing soccer or enjoying a good meal with friends in San Francisco, I’m likely to be found in the clubs of Vegas, the concert halls of Vienna, or the beaches of Thailand.

In addition, I’m a big fan of Scotch whisky and can spend hours talking about my favorite single malts (Longrow 1974 by Springbank currently tops my list) or my plans of visiting all of Scotland’s distilleries. If you like Islay malts, we will be great friends.
