I love methodical, scientific analysis. As a mechanical engineer at Berkeley, I researched and analyzed everything from coal mines to racecars. During my Master's program, I took several MBA classes and developed an interest in applying my technical background to business.
I feel truly fortunate to find a company whose mission is to apply a methodical, scientific approach to business. At APT, I have an opportunity to further develop my analytical skills while gaining insight into a wide variety of industries. I found it to be the perfect balance between client interaction and data-backed analysis. Just as important, I am amazed by the excellent dynamic within the company; nowhere else have I met such a group of dedicated and intelligent people who are also just fun to be around.
After only a few months at APT, I was already directly communicating with a number of clients, most frequently at the senior analyst and manager levels. In addition to providing support and analysis, I'm learning how to manage massive amounts of data -- how do you extract useful information when you receive millions of transactions per day from over a thousand sites? Taking responsibility for the integrity of the analysis you present requires both a broad understanding of each business as well as attention to detail.
Spending my undergraduate and graduate years at Berkeley has helped me cultivate a (mostly) healthy love for good food and good wine. I'm also passionate about classical music (and all music in general), computers and computer games, as well as American and Russian literature. On my time off, you can finding me riding the twisties either in my car or on my motorcycle.
