Why APT?
APT offered the perfect blend of large company benefits, with the collaborative and bureaucracy-free atmosphere you normally associate with a start-up. Everyday, I am able to make meaningful contributions to projects involving some of the most well-known retail and service companies in the world.
I knew I wanted to be able to use the analytical skills that I had developed in my academic career and apply them to real world business decisions. APT provided me with the perfect platform to pursue these intellectual and career goals. APT also offers its employees the opportunity to interact with senior executives not only internally, but in every one of your client engagements. This gives you a chance to have a direct influence in shaping crucial decisions to boost productivity and organizational efficiency that are grounded in a rigorous analytical framework.
What really sealed the deal for me was the immensely intelligent and talented group of people you get to interact with on a daily basis -- people who are not only passionate about their work, but maintain very active interests in food, wine, sports, and a wide range of other activities.
Daily Responsibilities:
As a business consultant at APT, every workday involves a mix of analysis, client support, and data management. While the work I do falls into these three broad categories, the types of analyses I deal with varies widely depending on the client’s industry. In addition to my daily responsibilities, I also get to partake in testing new analytical strategies, developing marketing strategies for a new product, and recruiting.
Outside of Work:
In my free time, I love planning trips around the world, meeting up with friends, attempting to hone my amateur photography skills, and catching up on the latest Bollywood movies. If I’m not doing any of the above, chances are I’m doing something involving food – researching and visiting good bakeries and vegetarian restaurants, baking, or looking for pastry making classes.
