Why APT?

As I approached graduation at Berkeley, it was important to me to find a job where I would continue to be challenged intellectually as much as I had been as a student. At the same time, I wanted to develop new skills and expand my horizons beyond academia. Given these requirements, APT seemed to be a perfect fit for me. Working at APT offered me the chance to learn in-depth about a wide range of businesses. In many ways, however, the actual work of a business consultant greatly resembles that of a scientist: formulating hypotheses, designing experiments, and analyzing the results to assist in the implementation of new business strategies. In addition, I was drawn to the ambitious and motivating environment of a young, fast-growing company like APT.

Daily Responsibilities:

As a business consultant, I work on the front lines of our client support. I help our clients work with their data, produce insightful analyses, and develop new business strategies. There is a huge variety in my day-to-day work, which can include client meetings, brain-storming sessions with my colleagues, making presentations, or solving challenging technical problems.

Outside of Work:

I have really appreciated the chance to continue living in the Bay Area and work in the city. I try to take in as much of the San Francisco culture as possible, such as concerts at the Warfield, baseball games at AT&T Park, or hikes around the city. In the winter, I often drive up to Lake Tahoe for a weekend of skiing.
