Why APT?

After interning with a huge technology company, I was looking for an opportunity to join a relatively small, young, and growing business. APT proves to be such a company, with continued growth and exciting opportunities on the horizon. It is a great place to continuously learn new technologies and interact with a number of top-notch engineers and consultants on a daily basis. If you’re like me, and get excited by analytics and learning from large data sets, APT offers lots of great opportunities.

Daily Responsibilities

As an engineer, I am responsible for designing and implementing solutions to many problems ranging from data analysis to web design. Furthermore, as a Software Engineer in Test, I often focus on developing infrastructure pertaining to testing, and on developing best practices around test design to ensure quality in the complex analytical software that APT produces.

Outside of Work

There is a lot to take advantage of in the DC area outside of work. As a tennis player, I enjoy having several courts in great shape just a short walk from the office. I also enjoy running and biking on Arlington’s extensive park and trail system (the Mount Vernon trail gives you a great view of the National Mall) and heading over to DC to explore the overwhelming number of monuments and museums (many of which are free). DC is also home to a thriving tech scene, and there are often talks and meetups outside of work which are part of the greater DC community.
