One word: responsibility. From day one, APT Product Managers are presented with more challenges than the hours of the day allow. This is not surprising given our team’s goal: build an easy to use application that answers analytically complex business questions. "Easy to use" and "analytically complex" - it almost sounds like an oxymoron. Sifting through the numerous challenges associated with this goal requires not only great organization, prioritization, analytic, and technical skills, but trust from the organization that those engaged will figure out a way to "make it happen." This is the single most exciting part about working for APT. From day one, you are given a problem and the freedom to solve it in the way that makes sense to you. All the while, you’ve got a support structure that consists of great minds from some of the world’s best institutions. What more could you ask for?
If it's winter - skiing. If it's summer - golf (at least I pretend to play) or soccer. Somewhere in between - weekend trips to Vegas, Florida (often for golfing), or elsewhere - I am the perpetual weekend traveler. I also like to try my hand at photography when I have the time (often on my weekend trips). Finally, in between all of this, I try to fit in the occasional poker game and consider myself a film buff.
