Why APT?

Everyone talks about combining business and technology and this is what APT does every day. We develop sophisticated technology to solve complex business problems. Therefore, we need people who can understand business questions and work with business consultants to translate experiences and insights into a technology vision. This is where product management comes in.

Being only a few years out of school, it is amazing to realize that I am shaping the direction of a product that is creating tremendous value for APT and its clients.

Daily responsibilities:

My time at APT has been divided between client-facing consulting and product management. I work closely with our customer-based analytics software team developing math to solve complex business questions, strategizing about the direction of the software, and creating testing plans to review new features and maintain a high standard overall. APT gives me a tremendous amount of responsibility as I drive through setting release goals, gathering and rating client feedback, and leading engineering progress. With short, rapid release cycles, I am constantly challenged with new business questions and have the opportunity to impact all areas of the software.

Outside of work:

DC has a lot to do! I rock climb with a group of co-workers, play on an ultimate-frisbee team, and take flying trapeze classes. I am a reading mentor to a fourth grade student and go out with friends to happy hours and parties. In addition, I travel a ton, recently visiting Moscow, Aruba, Turkey, Vietnam, and Hong Kong!
