Why APT?

In addition to offering my basic requirements for my first job out of college (allowing me to utilize my skill-set as an IEOR major from Cal, providing great opportunities to learn about the business world, challenging me daily, providing great benefits, etc.), APT also has a startup feel that I couldn’t find at many other companies. In working at a fast-moving company like APT, we all have the opportunity to make a profound impact on the business. At other, larger, organizations, extra hours of work can seem like they have been thrown to the abyss. But due to the nature of our projects, each one of us at APT can realize actual results and take ownership of what we’ve done. That element of ownership, in addition to the family-like environment at APT, makes APT truly one of the best opportunities for a graduating student.

Daily Responsibilities:

In sales, I am responsible for creating the business case for large retailers and banks to apply a strong Test & Learn capability. By diving deeply into the needs of the best companies in North America, I identify large profit-improvement opportunities for prospective clients and manage the process through which APT can partner with those companies to generate as much value as possible. Managing that process involves developing relationships with top executives and becoming aware of their business needs. From making calls to presenting at their company’s headquarters, I am constantly stimulated by new projects and new challenges.

Outside of Work:

There are an unlimited amount of activities in San Francisco. Living in this city allows me to do anything from hiking in Marin to finding a hidden speakeasy downtown. The only place you can find me with certainty is on Saturdays during the fall: I am either at Memorial Stadium (Go Bears!) or at an Ohio State bar.
