WASHINGTON, D.C.— Executives from more than 25 major companies - including Google, Kraft, Staples, Subway, and IHG - gathered this week in Washington, DC, for Applied Predictive Technologies' 5th annual international Test & Learn conference. The summit addressed best practices and new applications for applying the Test & Learn™ technology.
Brian Haier, Executive Vice President of Retail Distribution at TD Canada Trust, and Chris O'Neill, Director of Retail at Google, delivered the conference's keynote addresses.
Mr. Haier showcased how APT's Test & Learn software is being used to evaluate a range of strategic initiatives at TD Canada Trust, including expanding bank operating hours, managing operation costs, and making decisions regarding local vs. offshore contact centers.
"TD Canada Trust is a fact-based organization," commented Haier, "and working with APT and the Test & Learn enterprise software enables us to make high-stakes decisions based on evidence derived from actual in-market tests."
In the second keynote address, Mr. O'Neill discussed the power of Test & Learn to inform online advertising decisions. APT's Test & Learn software and methodology have been used by prominent global companies to provide insights into a wide range of traditional advertising initiatives. APT has recently worked with Google to understand the impact of online advertising in profitably driving sales, brand awareness, and better customer relationships.
"Companies that are embracing Test & Learn have a powerful capability to understand the emergence of online advertising as a valuable component of their media mix, and to measure how online advertising impacts in-store sales," said Mr. O'Neill.
Anthony Bruce, CEO of Applied Predictive Technologies, described the event as a rich gathering of analytical minds. "Our attendance was higher this year than at any of our prior conferences," he said. "Clearly, users recognize that our Test & Learn software provides an efficient, reliable, and high-performance solution to common business challenges."
