APT and Family Dollar to Present on Market Basket Analytics at NRF’s Big Show

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Applied Predictive Technologies (APT), leading provider of performance optimization solutions for retailers and consumer products manufacturers, today announced that Anthony Bruce, Chief Executive Officer at APT, and Brian Strickland, Divisional Vice President of Market Strategy and Business Development Research at Family Dollar, will present a Big !deas session at the National Retail Federation 2010 Conference & Expo in New York City.

The presentation, titled How Family Dollar Puts Basket-Level Insights at the Fingertips of Decision Makers, takes place on Monday, January 11th, 2010 at 10:45 AM EST in the EXPO HALL – Room 3D08 at Jacob K. Javits Center, New York City.

Market basket analytics have held promise for a long time. Insights generated from transaction data can enable retailers and their trading partners to optimize decisions on everything from marketing, to category roles and strategies, to pricing, promotion, assortment and space planning. Yet leading retailers and consumer product companies often struggle with inaccessible data, insufficient management tools, and unclear outputs - all of which cripple the power and value of data.

In this informative session, APT and Family Dollar will address how today's top companies are putting basket-level insights at the fingertips of decision makers - and driving millions of dollars in annual incremental profit as a result. APT’s Market Basket Analyzer white paper will be available at the booth, and online at www.APTatNRF.com.

Show attendees and members of the media are invited to visit APT on the Expo floor, booth # 1548 during show hours, 9:00 AM to 6:30 PM, Monday, January 11 and Tuesday, January 12. For further information, please visit www.APTatNRF.com.
