APT’s Space Planning Optimizer (SPO) Takes Home a Silver International Business Award
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Applied Predictive Technologies (APT) today announced that its Space Planning Optimizer (SPO) software has been named the recipient of the 2015 Silver International Business Award for Best New Product or Service of the Year in the Big Data Solution category. This win for APT comes on the heels of four 2014 Stevie Awards including, a Gold for the APT Index and Bronze for APT Category Management Insights in the same category, a Silver for its Corporate Social Responsibility Program, as well as a Bronze for Most Innovative Company of the Year.
The award reflects APT SPO’s powerful capability to generate significant profit improvement through rigorous analytics and its ability to address the challenges encountered by retailers and manufacturers seeking to allocate their store space most effectively. The SPO software employs APT’s rigorous test versus control methodology to measure the incremental impact of both micro and macro space changes and rapidly deliver localized space recommendations at the category or department level.
Earlier this year, APT released the latest version of SPO with several unique capabilities, including incorporating a company’s operational constraints into recommendations, delivering optimized and localized space allocations, and automating this rigorous analytic process to enable a fast and iterative approach to space optimization.
APT CEO Anthony Bruce commented on the award stating, “We’re thrilled to accept this award, as it’s a great testament to our commitment to continuous innovation and product improvement. A streamlined and robust process for optimizing space provides companies with a powerful competitive advantage and we’re excited to bring this capability to leading retailers and manufacturers.”
